The City Kids Festival is designed to assist the "working class poor" families who need help with equipping their children for school. Parents register their child by grade level to receive a free backpack filled with school supplies that are appropriate to their needs.
Individuals and groups help with collecting and stuffing the 1800 backpacks that will be handed out on August 14th at Julliard Park. Churches design and staff activity and craft booths that will fill the park with fun!
An easy to understand Gospel presentation is provided in both English and Spanish, with prayer partners and counselors available to answer questions or pray. Other prayer opportunities include prayer walks prior to the the day's event.
Lunch is served to 4,000 people throughout the day with help from willing volunteers. Music and entertainment, free haircuts, and snacks round out the whole day of festivities.

Pray
Praying prior to the event is like seasoning a cast iron skillet, it provides a protective coating of God's presence before the event gets cooking!
